This product disappoints, now.

I have used Clairol Hair colour for almost 10 years now, and have been a very satisfied customer. The last one year, the product has really lost its quality and I am left with hair which is lackluster and lifeless. The change from 'liquid' form to 'creme' form seems to have done the damage. I continue to use it now more out of habit than love of the product. Besides I am clueless what other product I should move to. May be if you could go back to your original formula and form, it can still regain its lost stature. Fervently hope so. Otherwise to be avoided !

No, I don’t recommend this product.

Clairol products not like it use to be.

i have read other reviews and tend to find myself agreeing that Clairol Nice & Easy is not the product it used to be. i have trusted Clairol on my hair for 20 years but i cant anymore. the product is watery, the conditioning solution is greasy and the resulting color on my hair does not match the color on the box. I'm very disappointed. Why did Clairol change the product that women have trusted for years? I'm 57 years old, using natural medium golden blonde. my hair use to be vibrant in color and soft to the touch, now it is just plain old dull!

No, I don’t recommend this product.

not sure if the product is different or what ?

I have been using nice"easy for years and years. About 1 year ago I was applying the color to my hair like I have done for years. Before I could even get all of my hair covered, my hair itself started getting very hot to the touch. When holding my hair in my hand it got so warm feeling that I rinsed it out before I was finished applying it. It left my hair feeling like straw. I was not even to the timing stage. I called the company and they were nice and took information off the box and gave me a refund. I waited about 2 months, I was scared to try again. I bought the same product and it was fine. I colored my hair and it turned out okay. Now I purchased the same color again ( my hair needs it bad ). I started appling it, Before I got 1/4 of it on my hair started getting hot again. I started to rinse it out again. Not sure if its the hair dye . I don't know why I am having this problem. I will not ever try this product on my hair again. It is ashame because I have used it for so many years and have been happy with it. I basically only use it to cover the gray and highlight my hair.

No, I don’t recommend this product.

Hard to find the right shade for me

I have been coloring my hair for 25 years. I was a very dark brown naturally and am now at least 65% grey. Started using Nice n Easy about 20 years ago. Have used lighter shades as I have aged. Went blonde about 15 years ago. Never looked back. I am now using 8 and 8G mixed. I get a lot of compliments on my hair color and yes, blondes do have more fun. I stockpile the stuff because my roots are out 3/4" in 3 weeks. I color on "dirty" hair at least 48hours after shampooing and I only leave on for 30 minutes after I get it all on. And I do shampoo to remove most of the product from my scalp, I tried other products a couple of times but always come back. The smell is tolerable, it's hair dye right? The coverage is great. I have found ash shades turn green on me. So I do neutral and golden mixed, using half a box of each and the other halves for the next time. Am thinking about using the new Sun Kissed blondes. Clairol chat helped me with the shade. Hope this helped!

Yes I got the color on the box cover!

I've been bleaching my hair platinum with drug store box color since last century and I got to the point of enough. I am the poster child for damaged hair and everyone advised me to see a professional. Bought Nice & Easy and just like the namesake I became a natural looking fake blonde; )

Yes, I recommend this product.

Natural Warm Honey Blonde, Reddish Roots

I found this color after standing for hours trying to decide exactly which direction to go with my hair color. I had been using a Champaigne Blonde which was causing my hair to look more ash, and a bit too old for me (it is amazing what happens when you go from a more golden color to an ashy color... overnight you go from Miss to Mam... I was looking for a more youthful color and chose this color because it was more golden and warmer than the ash I had been using). This product definitely warmed up my bleached blonde hair towards the ends - but I was starting with a darker root color (medium brown) and it lifted the color closest to the roots a slightly warmer caramel - bordering on reddish blonde color. I would have rather had more of an even coloring, but I'll admit that I didn't first treat the roots. I used the hair color all over to begin with and let it set about 30 minutes (following the directions). This was a great color shift - over night people perceived me to be "younger". I even had one of the guys who always checks me out at the grocery store tell me that I looked several years younger, and the only difference was shifting my hair color from an ashy blonde champaign color - to this more golden blonde shade. I like the results and used this product a couple of times. It was that good. Yes - I'd recommend this to a friend. I am pleasantly surprised by Clairol's colors. I had always been a Loreal fan, but I'm very glad that I tried this shade. This color is in a league of its own. Loreal doesn't really have a golden blonde that registers in this same range. This was the only reason that I initially made the switch from a brand that I've always loved...to Clairol. I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality of Clairol. You have some great hair color - I really love how my hair turned out with this particular shade! Thanks!

Yes, I recommend this product.

you have changed formula - not as good anymore :(

I am coloring tonight and for first time ever trying another product. Miss my old Nice & Easy that covered my gray - had nice highlited colors and gave me a pair of gloves that you don't stick your nails through when putting them on :( Sorry Clairol...if your trying to save money I think you made wrong move...Your losing a customer...used to love the natural golden brown...I have used your products for over 25 years. First doing my mom and then using only your product for myself, then my daughters... something has drastically changed. The color not as vibrant anymore and it is so thin. If your not careful it squirts all over the place and makes a mess. Never did that before. Coverage does not seem as good.

New shades and color not true

I have been using this product for ten years and was very happy with it. But now that they have changed the formula it is not true to color. The old 8G/104 Natural Medium Golden Blonde was a very beautiful golden color but the new color turned my hair strawberry blonde - there was reddish tint instead of golden tint. So then I tried 8/103A Natural Medium Blonde and it turned my hair a dingy blonde color.
