New formula with fewer and changed shade colors

I have been using this product for ten years and was very happy with it. But now that they have changed the formula it is not true to color. The old 8G/104 Natural Medium Golden Blonde was a very beautiful golden color but the new color turned my hair strawberry blonde - there was reddish tint instead of golden tint. So then I tried 8/103A Natural Medium Blonde and it turned my hair a dingy blonde color.

No, I don’t recommend this product.

THEY CHANGED THE FORMULA

I have been using this hair dye for 20 years now because it would be give me vibrant and full gray coverage everytime...until now.I noticed that the dye is a bit runnier and when I got some of it on my skin during dying i was able to wipe it off easily which was a bad sign because usually the other dyes wipe off easy that way and do not last long.I was hoping that that wasn't the case but I was WRONG. I did not get the deep rich blue black color I always got.It was duller, muted. It also WASHED OFF easily and was showing grey hairs 2 weeks after the dye job! Iam very very disappointed that they messed with a winning formula.I bought it 3 more times just to make sure but no,it will no longer do.Iam going to have to say GOODBYE to you clairol and find another brand because I can't walk around with gray hairs showing and have this dull color anymore.Goodbye, after 20 years.

No, I don’t recommend this product.

Beyond impressed

Okay I NEVER write reviews for products. Ever. So me searching for this forum and taking the time to write this is pretty significant. Let me start by saying I've been bleaching my hair to a luscious platinum color for the better part of 8 years. My hair is DAMAGED to say the least. About a month ago I decided I would try to get closer to my natural hair color, ash brown. I didn't do any research and just went to Target for a box of 'cool dark ash blonde' (I don't remember the brand, feria maybe) with the thought that putting this on my WHITE hair would turn it a pretty dark blonde. Psssshhhhh. It turned a muddy green color and wrecked my hair. Two days later I couldn't take wearing a hat anymore. So I went to what I know. Platinum. Bleached my hair back to its Snow White color and it was so pretty. But I still wanted to go back natural. So I did research and looked at color charts which advises to turn white hair the desired ash blonde shade it needs to be the 'natural' or 'warmer' color. I never knew this!! Alway I found this brand and color at my drugstore and put it on this morning. Immediately I am in love, and that has never happened. It was soft on my damaged hair and the conditioning gloss is superb. I have saved the top of the box in my make up drawer and will be using this from now on. So impressed that something could make my damaged hair turn out flawless with zero brass or undertones.

Yes, I recommend this product.
